I conduct research on several interesting topics such as topics on elastic wave propagation, seismic modeling, velocity model building, seismic depth imaging and artificial intelligence. Here I present basics of elastic wave propagation by starting from Newton's 2^nd Law and build up to the Equation of Motion (EoM) in very general terms. Later, I customize the EoM for specific anisotropic symmetries including isotropic, VTI, TTI, orthorhombic and tilted orthorhombic cases.
